Vi-vi-video update. I got enough Mountain Dew in me to write a book, and instead with all the creative juices flowing. I feel like posting some videos that per usual are not mine but are pretty spiffy...
Did I really use spiffy twice in one day?
So we have a substitute for my philosophy class. We were talking about the ethics behind legalizing Medical Marijuana which I personally oppose but she said something that I hear people say a lot which goes along the lines of. "What drug will we randomly legalize next?" Now being the polite respectful student I am I said. "Hold on there is a difference between legalizing Marijuana for medicinal purposes (despite it being an incredibly wonderful placebo) and legalizing crystal meth for shits and giggles." Speaking of shits and giggles... Plungers and squeaking... 

Not my best transition into a video but hey lets keep rocking rolling and moving. Next up we have some more government related stuff. Due to my Math teacher who is a certified bad ass for the record I stumbled upon this set of experiments. Three of which I don't care for at all but the final one titled For the Love of Dolphin caught my interest if you are too lazy like most of the youth today to actually read the entire article I managed to find some Roosters Teeth to chew through the talking for you. Anyway the basic summary of this is the one thing we always need to keep in mind when practicing science. Is what you are doing even practical? I don't know how this one slipped through the cracks of an institutional review board, or what idiot thought this was a good idea, or where they got the dolphin... Yeah let me just get to the point the experiment was flawed and stupid knock it off scientists... You could be off curing cancer, understanding genetics, preventing the next big epidemic but instead you dropped acid with dolphins. Not the most shinning moment of Scientific history but you know what. At least we aren't making backwards progress. 

Anyway other then that I leave you with ponies, which by the way just wrapped up another season (I know a bit late on the ball with that announcement) but at least The Hub has purchased 13 more episodes of this adorable show. Happy Birthday to people... Or the earth... I don't even know anymore.

Now credit is owed where credit is due. So I would like to start out with a shout out once again to a friend of mine I call Olli. Happy birthday and other formalities. Which is the topic for today. I feel birthdays have went from "Congrats your alive!" To "Congrats I recognize you being alive by paying hallmark for this cheap card!" Oh hey look my cynical is showing... Who cares? I remember having a birthday balloon and keeping it next to my bed when I went to sleep it was a bouncy bright fun ball of joy but when I woke up it was just sitting on the ground wrapped in its own ribbon like some sort of rubber mummy. It reminded me how short life can be.
Anyway this is another one of those multi-day posts which I compose over  several days and post because I have nothing better to do. So went over to this place to have "fun" and I went go kart racing... I did not realize how aggressive I could be driving until I did that. I mean seriously aggressive go kart driver. Anyway not much else. Things have been well... Changing

Happy 13th! (a retroactive post about me saying shit I regret...)

So on the 13th since its my favorite day I was going to upload somethings and have a wonderful wonderful post. Yeah my computer got water on it and it died a horrible cruel death. Rest in piece Xerxes but you have been reborn. I know I know I am naming my stuff again but I like giving names to things I am attached to. Hell a good name personalizes something. Named my car Alma (who by the way reached the 25k mile mark!). But hell I got a moment so how about a quick little poem about me dying...

Yeah... Things come and go, learned that the hard way when I set out to day with a half tank of gas and had to fuel up cause I was driving around with my friends. It was a lovely little adventure where we went to thrift stores and game shops to see if we could pickup an SNES well we could not. We did find a fair amount of stuff though, and the rain oh my god the rain was fun. Managed to take a 20 M.P.H turn at 50 so yeah. My bad Brundle and Clementine. Speaking of the man Clementine we had this quick little exchange at a gas station...

Yeah I feel bad for saying that but recently I have been noticing a slight change in my mindset towards the dark side. Either that or I am just noticing more stuff on the dark side like that picture next to the word picture. If you look carefully it talks about how vasectomy is the most effective birth control. Which I agree with that is true but that's also about as useful as this T-Pain Microphone I found at Toys R Us! I mean seriously I understand getting a vasectomy, but advertising it as birth control? No shit Sherlock what else could it be? More importantly why is there a golfer on there? Is this targeting tiger woods? The world may never know, but this was just the first of many pictures I took this lovely weekend and since I don't want to try and tie them in through effective writing I will leave them at the bottom HAHA!

Binary Definitions: Another shot at me sounding smart...

I have learned defining things for me is a very hard process. Ever since I worked with kids who pop the "what is an orange... oh its a fruit. well then what is a fruit... well its something with seeds on the inside you can eat?" sort of thought train I learned to think of life in terms of binary or the computer language of ones and zeros. Computers use binary because they need everything described to them like those smart alec children who ask what everything is in a snobby way. I find approaching things with true or false statements while lengthy and not efficient gets the job done. So when asked to define virtues I need to take it apart piece by piece. To start off with breaking things down I take things to there most base level of description. Past nouns and verbs down to the two basic categories of labels and descriptions because I define them in this circular way, all descriptions are labels and all labels are descriptions. A label is a name, a description describes. There is no technical difference between the two they are interchangeable but for my purposes a label is something we take and put objects in and descriptions are what we describe objects with in order to them put them in the appropriate label. Moving past that train of thought and hopping back the virtue express we now address what a virtue is considered in the human English language (because in between languages my philosophy might change seeing as language is the first way in which we describe the world to others). Virtue in the English language is a noun which means you would expect find a physical object associated with it as all nouns are persons, places, or things. Unfortunately when Meno tried to wise up to Socrates he made the same mistake to think that all virtues could be defined as a person a place or a thing. In all honesty virtue cannot be measured at all. A virtue is just a name for any trait or characteristic we find valuable in another human being; and what is value but the idea that something means something to someone? See even that last sentence right there was sketchy. This being said all virtues are different for different people. What virtue seems to be universal so far I have asked several people from high school students about what exactly is virtues and generally what I boiled it down to is a smile. Which really is just a show of warmth and kindness. Even though the intentions behind a smile can be different, the general message is not. While virtues take many shapes and forms but the general idea stays consistent. A virtue is something admirable found in someone. Unfortunately like a lot of the universe that isn't static.

That was said in my math class. As much as I dislike school I can't say I really hate any of my teachers. That quote right there was from my math teacher who is a certified bad ass by the way and taught me an equation that when graphed creates a heart! If you want to give it a shot the equation is.
Y1=x^(2/3)- √(1-x^2)
Y2=x^(2/3)+ √(1-x^2)
Then shade Y1 and Y2.
This is my Valentines Day gift to you. As for the video to the right I recorded it in case you do not happen to have a calculator handy. By the way besides my Xfire videos this is my first original video content on the Internet and that is not saying much seeing how someone has already done this equation I am sure. Cynical

I got grilled by a sub and a teacher for being cynical. Not my problem. Honestly I don't respect a lot of people due to cynicism, but the people I do respect I all but revere. Although there is no rule book saying I have to be really positive. I don't really believe I should reward behavior that you need to do.

Oh also sleeping in class someone pulled the fire alarm.

Freedom:

I believed for the longest time I was truly free. I used to think freedom was an ability and a condition. Was I wrong to think of it like that. Freedom is more like a side effect of circumstance. To prove this I will use math.
x
By itself x is a variable and can be whatever it wants to be until defined. At that point in time when it is undefined it is truly untouchable and truly free but life isn't that simple. But as more things are added onto that variable the freedom is taken away.
x-1
This would be the subtraction of a freedom such as clothing x being the freedom you have constrained by clothing. Like the cost of money


But life is more then just simple additions or subtractions there are things that can be added to help boost some freedoms while detracting from others. For example throughout the course of history we have developed technology that do free us from some constraints but in the process of accessing those freedoms we constrain ourselves. For example we have the freedom of flight thanks to airplanes but laws make us take classes in order to use them properly.
3x-1<x
3x is the multiplication from getting the ability to fly minus the freedom we lose overall from flying such as take offs and landings. But since we are limited by the plane type a more apropriate equation would be
3x-1<x<y
Same equation but "y" in this situation is the type of aircraft avalible since the freedom cannot be greater then the aircrafts capabilities.


Now x is not only itself but also itself and 1. The restraints that 1 came with will now be attached to x. So freedom could be written as an equation with each restriction is a variable. The more restrictions the more variables less freedom.
So yes I am free but constrained by that which also makes me free. Weird how that works out huh?

Its been a while...

Hey its February 3rd and currently I am sick. Also bored. So I decided why not get back onto blogger and throw some content out for my two followers since I know that if somehow they do everything they have to do and want to do they might trickle down over here.
Few images I am tossing up are some things I did during school hours. Yeah I know I should be doing school during school hours but inspiration like lightning never strikes the same spot twice, nor is it good for you're overall health.
I mean I have been inspired to do a lot recently but who knows if I am in over my head. I have to do robotics and in the process make things crazy steam punk. I have to make a bunch of arm bands, goggles, and leather aprons none of which is cheap all of which is going to take a while but hell it should be fun right. Unlike the cold I have.
